The Technology Leader in Volumetric 3D Display
All photos are actual shots without retouching. They look close to actual visual result, except no 3D effect. Real V3D images can only be viewed in a Volumetric 3D Interactive Display.
A "swimming girl" (3D computer model) is programmed to "swim" in the display space, photographed from different angles and distances. The girl always faces "top". Eyes and lips can be seen if looking closely.
Larger size V3D images show more details of face and hair. Because of accommodation and convergence of human vision, transparency of V3D images does not confuse viewers.
The handheld demo unit can be moved around freely and can be viewed from almost any direction.
Cyra the Archer (a simple game character), standing on a circular pad, is surrounded by 4 spheres, photographs taken from one side of the display volume at different view angles.
Demonstration of a game character (Cyra the archer) in simpe game scenes.Cyra standing on floor.
Cyra in a garden-like scene, with ground and side wall at back.
A complete game scene with deep background. The scene uses basically 3 different scales to enhance linear perspective: In the foreground, Cyra stands in front of a gate of Shinto temple on a high ground. In the middle ground, a house of reduced size in a rice field beside a small hill appears much farther and lower relative to the archer. In the background, a 2D image plane depicts a mountain, sea and sky.
A viewer points a laser pointer into the display volume of a 6" desktop prototype, which displays a molecule-like model.
More example game scenes in the 6" prototype.
